De Ysbreker is a cafe and bar, situated in Amsterdam. To gain more oppotunity in business, the owner required us to renovate all of existing space include the back space of Ysbreker and turn the back space into restaurant.

For this project, I scoped myself to consider the walls inside bar and restaurant areas and aimed the objectives of my design to build up the character of the place by creating unique ambience of each space. Moreover I was fascinated in the walls which can be appeared in the contrast to normal perception. And I came up with concept ‘the walls which can move’.

This concept leaded me to explore more in material selection and combining technique.
